Cassago Cement
This cement work was born in 1928 in Cassago Brianza, some years after the first cement plant of the MERONE Company, in Merone town. After the War this factory became "Cementeria di Cassago", a small society under the MERONE one.
At the end of 80s all MERONE plants went under the multinational HOLCIM. 4 year ago, in 2002 this plant was closed.

Inside remain everything, all machinery, two rotative ovens, boilers, smoke filters etc...

In this panoramic view we have the main building in the middle (with the ovens), the boilers on the left (under the chimneys) and on the right and behind some other building for raw materials. Some new silos on the right.

Behind all there is the village of Cassago, on a hill.
